You'll never see a faster mount to a guillotine ever again. That was a lifetime of training and muscle memory. Also, you'll never see someone survive one like that. Ortega is a warrior and Volk is working on becoming the GOAT. This is one of my favorite fights ever, coupled with one of the best rounds in MMA history

Apparently Volk practiced 1000 times or more during training getting out of guillotines and triangle chokes in preparation for Ortega, and wow did that preparation pay off. Still, without that heart of a champion and without those superman skills, Volk might not have survived.

That Knock out punch to guillotine to elbows to triangle choke to ground and pound has to the one of the greatest moment in UFC history
Ortega is so tough and Volkanoski is just another kind of animal! Respect to both for giving us such an incredible fight!
i’ve watched this fight a good 4-5 times, it’s so interesting seeing how tough Volk was the entire fight. Ortega really has the stamina and can take a nasty punch.

Was no fan of Ortega in the beginning. But, after watching him for a while, and seeing the tremendous heart he has, he's earned my respect and admiration. He's what the great Greek philosophers called "men with chests."

Ortega,Poirier and Oliveira are my best fighters in UFC . I am never desapointed to watch their fights . UFC is an other level for truth ❤
I love how much respect the fighters have for one another in the UFC. These guys tried to kill each other for 25min straight and then hugged it out right after...

that's the first thing I noticed about the sport when I started watching around 2 years ago. It's so ironic how they literally try to kill each other for 15-25 min and then hug like they're best friends right afterwards

Damn warriors, Volkanovski is human and he showed it by being on the brink of submission but then he stood up and crushed Ortega's gladiator spirit. Incredible because neither was willing to hang up their gloves, all due respect to both.

У него духа хоть отбавляй. Мне кажется ещё пару раундов и Ортега и в правду мог забрать бой. Но что тут говорить, если это, если то. Думаю Ортега в любом случае ещё доберётся до титульника и там уже посмотрим

@@tyreho1285Он в ударника слишком много играет,он после ада в 3 раунде спокойно Волка перевёл и на удушку поймал,делал бы он это с начала боя,а не когда устал и закислился,мог бы финишировать ещё в первых раундах.

man even when the fighters don't like each other much. I LOVE seeing the show of sportsmanship at the end of the fights. It happens a lot more now days too. sometimes it doesn't. But I love seeing it. Like when the dr called the bamf between Diaz and masvidal. literally as soon as the ref waved his hands you could see how disappointed masvidal was at not being able to finish the fight. They we're both in immediate agreement the they had to have another fight as soon as Diaz was healed. Good stuff
Love when you can basically hate someone and after you fight them you forget that stuff and have respect for each other.

Volk proved why he's the champ!!! Wow..every time I watch this fight it never gets old
it's interesting to watch a fight 3 times, once live with all the craziness, once from Volk's perspective, once from Ortega's perspective, it will make you understand the fight and their style and tactics much better.

It's sad Ortega never really crossed that line into greatness. I remember when the UFC first hyped him up... I thought it was too early for such a young kid. Today he really only had one shot at climbing the rankings and going for a belt. He just needs to tighten his skill... Cause we know he's tuff.
