@@sidtalks2885 Round 4 was the only one Rob landed more strikes, plus a takedown and control time. 2 of 3 judges gave the round to Rob, but it should’ve been all 3. The judge that scored the fight 49-46 also gave Izzy round 5, which is nuts.

i am obsessed with this fight. This is adesanya's fight that i love the most, i will even say middleweight fight. Both fighters striking is sooo clean!!!

3:52 this might have not stunned Rob very much but because he lifted his leg up to check a low kick Adesanya's straight pushed him to the floor. Many knockdowns happen because of balance.

It's really weird because sometimes those don't get counted as knockdowns, sometimes they do. Yet neither of Max's knockdowns counted in fight 2 with Volk when they were 100% legitimate knockdowns.

@@Chopper51138 Yes, absolutely agreed. I remember with McGregor vs Khabib, I personally think he clearly won round 3, but they UFC clearly amped his strikes or found some where there weren't. If Khabib landed about 25, significant or otherwise and McGregor landed about 29, the UFC stats say McGregor landed about 42, which is absolute BS. The numbers I quoted probably aren't the exact amount but I actually went back and checked the amount over in round 3 and it was not at all 42.

Adesanya is an amazing fighter and a great sportsman. He is obviously a bit of a jokester, but as far as I have seen has no beef with the fighters he faces, he always gives his opponents respect.

Izzy arguably 10-8 Rob in the first round

Love to watch fights where the fighters respect each other and leave it in the octagon.

It was a close fight either way. Which people really need to understand. That’s how good both of these guys are. Robert wasn’t healthy the first go round. Second time, he had many believing he won. These are without a doubt the best two middleweights on the planet.

Landing two good punches in a round where you're getting your legs cooked and you're scared to engage doesn't make a fight close. Landing takedowns and doing absolutely nothing with them doesn't do anything. This was a CLEAR UD. People call every Adesnya fight that doesn't end in a KO "close", except when he's the one that loses. Then, it was nowhere near close.

Neither took big risks and the only clear round was round 1 to Izzy Rob got the cleaner shots in most of the rest of the fight and also a few takedowns but Izzy had more volume Just depends on what you value more, would be a bit weird to see Izzy lose the belt in a 50-50 fight tho

Rewatched the fight again and izzy won this fight I’m not seeing where people say rob was robbed I get it some People don’t like izzy but he won this fight

25:10 great refereeing by Herb there. Made sure Rob was OK to fight even though he just said he was. He [Rob] wiped his eye after saying it was fine. So Herb briefly stopped the fight and called for a time out to clarify AND verify Rob was OK to fight. He did a great job, absolutely great. Ref's jobs are to protect the fighters from effects external to the rules of fighting. Nut shots, fence grabs, 6 o'clock elbows, eye pokes, etc. And Herb was on his square right there. Each man did their thing in that octagon that night. Rob may not have won but he came back well after that first round. He shook that fear and nervousness off and came back. Although I've never been in a big fight like this, I was an amateur boxer and I have had a few fights when I was in the same place as Rob. It is not an easy thing to shake your uncertainty and/or nerves/nervousness when you're fighting someone who you've fought before and they beat you. I lost my 2nd fight with the guy. Lmbo. Didn't do no way near as good as Rob did. Dude got me half way through the match even after shaking my nerves off and shaking back right. Liver shot. A HARD ONE. I was outta there,...viagra couldn't have even got me up to my feet😂😂😂😂 So I can't help but give Rob his props along with Herb and Izzy. Great fight.

Round 1 - Adesanya controlled the pace and hit Whittaker who didn't respond much. 10-9 Adesanya. Round 2 - Adesanya controlled the pace again, but Whittaker clipped him with cleaner shots and took him down. 10-9 Whittaker. Round 3 - Not much from both sides. Both hit each other clean sporadically with Adesanya being slightly more intimidating on the feet but didn't do anything significant. Whittaker at least scored a take down so I guess 10-9 Whittaker. Round 4 - Again, Adesanya seems more intimidating and controlling the cage but actually both guys hit each other about the same amount and both of them didn't inflict significant damage. Whittaker at least scored a takedown again so to me it's 10-9 Whittaker. Round 5 - Don't need to say much, this round belongs to Whittaker 10-9. Whittaker lost because he had a chip on his shoulder from the first fight and because the belt was occupied by a champ. Because the action was so infrequent, because Rob looked hesitant and Adesanya seemed confident, any type of success Rob had didn't have a lot of meaning behind it unless it was dramatic, hence most of the rounds were scored against him. So in a way, I agree with the outcome because I have some context so it makes sense Adesanya won and I think it was the right decision. But without context? If their first fight looked like this and it was a vacant title they were fighting for, Whittaker won this fight. Very lukewarm fight either way.

well. arguable. i believe if this was their first fight Whittaker just flat out lost no matter what. Rob was out struck in all 5 rounds and Adesanya also threw more strikes in all 5 rounds individually. On top of that Israel had a higher land percentage in all rounds but 4. so he was attempting more, landing more and making his opponent miss more. Israel had exactly 20 more significant strikes. headshots both about equal. body Israel had almost double the lands and legs Israel had more than double the lands compared to Robert. so if the fight is super-close stats would lean towards Israel. also Israel looked more confident even if u hadnt seen the first fight u are right about rounds 1, 4, and 5. Israel clearly won round 3, there is no world in which a judge will score that for Rob. So Izzy clearly won rounds 1 and 3. Rob clearly won rounds 4 and 5. Round 2 was the difficult round. 2 judges gave round 2 to Izzy and 1 gave it to Robert but it could have gone either way really. R3 too close. the 49-46 judge prolli took molli before the fight cause he gave both rounds 4 and 5 to Izzy which is insane. so even if 2 judges gave Rob R3 rob still loses cause of the insane judge who scored 49-46. solid fight and i expect rob to be an underdog for the 3rd fight and win. he needs to get through Marvin first next week but on paper rob seems better than marv and he also added that new ground game improvements to his fight game so if he can keep it standing he should win. i wouldnt be surprised if he could also control marv

The punches didn't snap his head back. Izzy always leans back against an offensive strike to take the power away so looks like they're doing damage, but they really aren't. Rob's hardest punch was the hook he landed when exiting the clinch in the 4/5 round I believe. Izzy won the first 3. Fourth and Fifth are debatable but I believe Izzy just coasted through those rounds.

Stats don't lie, izzy had 98 total strikes/79 significant strikes, Rob had 74 total strikes/59 significant strikes, also izzy being the aggressor putting Rob on the back foot the whole time, due to the judging criteria of strikes, damage and forward movement izzy won this fight 3-2, close fight none the less.

Роберт не достаточно сделал для победы. Он мало ударов наносил, в борьбе не было никакого контроля, а Иззи перебивал Роба, почти все удары Иззи доставали до цели, что не скажешь об ударах Роба. Иззи честно выиграл бой, это не ограбление!

Полное адекватное мнение если бы , было бы в раунде хотя бы по два тейкдауна с контролем это чистая победа Роберта , а так для чемпиона он сделал 70% работы

где вы видите победу роба я не понимаю, у него в перерывах такое выражение лица даже после 1 раунда "что мне делать?" одно и тоже если бы я вместо него вышел в октагон. какая блядь победа, вы тут шутите все?

Всем сердцем болел за Роберта, но пересматривая второй бой, могу сказать что мало сделал для победы . Мало ударов наносил, акцентированных практически не было, а в борьбе не мог занять хорошую позицию. Такое чувство что в стойке его крайние соперники бояться с ним драться, хотя глядя на форму Адесаньи, после первого боя с Робертом он стал осторожничать. Победить его можно, например если его соперник будет в стойке агрессивным и активнее ! С Каннонье бой будет скучным и Адесанья победит решением. Я жду боя Стрикленд - Перейра. Перейра победит Адесанью. Он сам кикер и темболее побеждал его уже по кику два раза.

Думаю Роберт всё равно сделал недостаточно для завоевания титула. Здесь нужна уверенная победа. Бой близкий да. Но слишком много осторожничали оба бойца. Думаю правильно сделали что оставили титул с Изи. Заметил, что Адесанья стал проседать в скорости в поздних раундах, так что время может сказаться на нём, только время.

@@kartash8357 Думаю со временем найдутся те кто достанет его. Хоть он и стойкий, но челюсть у него слабая. Даже сейчас он не так шикарен. Видимо уходит пик. Но я это пишу не в надежде на его поражение. Мне как-то всё равно. Он сейчас большая звезда юфс и пусть выигрывает себе на благо.

Round 3 is pretty close but Israel landed better there. 2, 4, and 5 are clear as day Rob though.

Bispings commentary was horrendous

1 раунд Адесанья - полная доминация. 2 раунд Адесанья - роб неплохо начал но на след 4 мин сдулся и был хуже 3 раунд Адесанья - адесанья держал все под контролем, но роб смог проявить себя примерно на последней минуте. Но это не дает ему преимущество, чтобы забрать раунд 4 раунд Роберт - смог взять и реализовать свое преимущество и греплинг 5 раунд Роберт - повторил 4 раунд и реализовал свое преимущество и гренплинг Вывод: АДЕСАНЬЯ (3) > РОБЕРТ (2) доминация Алдесаньи в первой половине, также был неплох в 4-5, но роберт хорошо контролировал у клетки за что и забрал свои 2 раунда без особого урона по адесаньи

Very close fight, all the MMA KZreadrs say it was a clear fight to Rob. I don’t think it’s clear either way, but Round 1 was the most clear to Adesanya and I thought Round 5 was Robs best round. Though when a lot of people say you gotta beat the champion I don’t think Rob did that. The grappling was a nice edge but I don’t think he ever established something dominant. The leg kicks from Adesanya were what I thought did the most.

Включили видео и посмотри 1-2-3 раунд полная доминация ничего Роберт не смог сделать, максимум в этих раундах 1 доминуту забирал из 4, его пробивали, ловили, и он не осуществлял контроль над адесаньей за это очки не дают

Whittaker has nothing for Izzy and Izzy knows that. The only way to beat Izzy is to beat him at his own game! Alex is the only one who is even capable of doing that. Giving Izzy a taste if his own medicine with the constant leg kicks and accurate hands coming on top of those kicks. Also constantly walking Izzy down and making him move backwards. That is the worst thing for a kicker, to move backwards. We need Izzy vs Alex, part 3!!! And then part 4!!! No other fight at 185 is nearly as exciting!!

Only way to beat izzy is at his own game? So wrestling with izzy wouldn't work? Worked for Jan. Ankalaev could probably manage. Khazmat isn't beating izzy at his own game but he can if he can take the fight to the ground. Beating him at his own game just sounds dumb seeing as he is 1 of the best strikers the ufc has ever seen but his massive flaw is grappling. Whittaker could've won if he was more aggressive with his wrestling

@american5668 I meant that everyone who is currently active at 185 cannot take Izzy down, he has great takedown defense. At 205, that's different. Jan and others are just too big for Izzy to fend off. But Whittaker, cannonior, Duplex, Costa, Yoel, Marvin etc could Not and cannot take Izzy down. Khamzat is a different story at 185. He can take Izzy down. But Alex showed how to beat Izzy. Walk him down. Kick him and take his legs out which is what Izzy does to others. And land punches 👊 at the same time to keep Izzy guessing. There is a reason Izzy wants nothing to do with Alex, part 4. His fights with Alex are so intense, Competitive and hard to train for. I want to see them run it back a few more times. No one else at 185 stands a chance until Khamzat is active. Alex is 36 already. We need to milk 🥛 this rivalry before Alex drops off or cannot male that huge weight cut anymore.

@MilkyWayGalaxyy Whittaker can take izzy down if he utilizes a more aggressive wrestling game plan. Whittaker trying to outstrike him when he's already failed twice proves that he can't beat izzy at his own game. But he can beat him if he takes izzy somewhere he's not comfortable. This narrative that nobody can take izzy down is false. If those in the divisions above and below him can then with enough training Whittaker or really any 185er can. It's just nobody at 185 has that high lvl wrestling that you see at 170 and 205. And nobody is pulling off what Alex did. Nobody in that division has that power or reach or skill in striking. I think Whittaker stands a decent chance at winning, a lot of people thought he won that 2nd fight. But outstriking him? Nobody outside of 205 is doing that. Paulo is better off wrestling for 5 years rather than kickboxing for 5 years if he ever wants to beat izzy. Everyone's failure at 185 was because of striking with him. They needed high lvl wrestling like Glover or Khazmat

i still don't understand how israel lost a guy like strickland i mean no problem seeing him lose but at least could be a hard fight to strickland

Strickland trained with Alex PERRERA before the fight, And Strickland has the best defense skill in the Division. Adesanya will smash him in the rematch though
